2013 The Ethereal Plane - Dreaming In The Southern Sun

The second release by Patrick Latella & The Ethereal Plane, this album displays a beautiful intersection of composition and improvisation. Written & produced by Patrick Latella, this album features Patrick's melodic guitar playing coupled with soloing which is both creamy and ferocious, accompanied by an all-star band. The individual performances by the members of the band truly create a whole greater than the sum of its parts and flesh out incredible passages through Latella's original writing. Much gratitude to Bill McKay, Christian Teele, Brian Adams, Pete Wall and Christian Mockett.

"The musicianship here is superb...the obvious chops of the musicians shine through across the entire track list and the listeners hear a musical conversation...funky and exploratory." ~ Brian Johnson, Marquee Magazine

1998 Butterhead - Symphonic Fusion - Live in '98

The debut release by Patrick Latella, this live CD features a 14 piece fusion band and showcases an alchemy of amazing Colorado musicians. The album is shines with tight arrangements surrounded by improvisational groove and jam, with Jamie Janover, Christian Teele, Paul Armstrong, Pete Wall, Eric Schneider, Brian Juan, Dave Solzberg and Vlad Gershevich.

"This music is down and dirty fusion of the highest caliber patiently built right before your ears. Although one can only describe the music's way of drawing the listener in as entrancing, the word does not fully do the music justice. While the enchanting effect may pull the listener in, it's the elaborate interplay of instruments and layering that really gives the sounds of Butterhead its punch." ~ Jeff Smith, The Mountain Ear

"Instrumental grooves and intensely wonderful marathon jams. ~ Boulder Weekly
